Our Review of Paloma Wool’s FW23 NYC Pop-up
Reviewing the Paloma Wool Pop-Up
This past weekend I decided to pop into the Paloma Wool pop-up shop at 425 Broome Street!
I first waited on a line that was about fifteen minutes long, which is pretty typical if not short for a New York line.
The showroom reminded me of a museum- the pieces were hung around the showroom like art. I personally appreciated the set up because the pieces were very easy to see, instead of having to sort through racks of miscellaneous pieces. I also thought the clever use of space made the trip more than just shopping but also a visual experience.
As soon as I entered the space, the staff handed me a paper to check the the pieces I wanted to try on. This was somewhat tedious because you had to search for each piece with the style number. Additionally, the efficiency of this system was not the best in terms of receiving the pieces- the employees took around fifteen minutes to set up my dressing room. Out of the five pieces that I chose to try on, they only had three of them in my size. However, the employees gave me other similar options which I appreciated. But that being said, do not expect them to have every piece you are looking for in stock.
One notable aspect was the abundance of accessories and shoes. I was particularly surprised at the quality of their bags and boots, as well as their knits.
In conclusion, if you're a devoted Paloma Wool fan, or are looking to experience their pieces in person, I think the pop-up is worth it. While the wait in obtaining items and the line may test your patience, the experience, employees, and the quality made the trip worth it. So, make sure to look out for next season’s Paloma Wool pop-up!
