Our Favorite Vintage and Second Hand Shops
1. 10ft Single by Stella Dallas
This vintage store has a great collection of curated vintage pieces with a wide variety, and they are also reasonably priced. Their collection ranges from women’s slip dresses to men’s vintage leather jackets. They’re located in a prime location in Williamsburg, just around the corner from some of the best restaurants in the city. We highly recommend checking out this spot with a group of friends as they have something for everyone.
2. James Veloria
James Veloria is a spot for lovers of 90s designer fashion. They house a number of iconic pieces from brands like John Galliano, Comme des Garcons, Jean Paul Gaultier, and more. Although their pieces are on the pricey side, their curation is unmatched, and you are bound to find something new for your closet.
3. Kalimera Vintage
Kalimera is a classic vintage womenswear spot also located in Williamsburg. Their pieces are what you would find of a typical, curated vintage store, however, their selection of shoes and accessories is what makes them unique in my opinion. They also often host many influencers and other vintage collectors, so before making the trip to Williamsburg, definitely look to see if they have any upcoming events.
4. Big Ash
Big Ash is a must-go for vintage street wear. They have a mix of women’s and men’s pieces, and they are both curated to give a certain 90s skater vibe. They also mix in some pieces from niche local designers such as Maroske Peech, so you might discover some interesting, new brands during your visit as well.
5. Beacon’s Closet (10 W 13th St)
If you’re looking to hunt and potentially find some treasure, you should head to Beacon’s Closet on 10 W 13th St. I’m not sure if its because the location is near Parsons School of Design, but their selection of second hand clothing has never disappointed me. You are bound to see pieces with well known designers, and at a reasonable price too. It is definitely a place that you have to browse for some time to find your piece.
